I moved from Auckland to Bluff in 2021 with my daughter and son-in-law, to live on Marine Parade at the foot of Motupōhue/Bluff Hill. The move was to close a four-generation gap in my children's whakapapa that links them to Ruapuke Island. Fishing fleets, oyster boats, cargo and passenger ships go right past my front door, so I picked up my phone and started taking photos - of everything! Very soon, the phone was no longer enough. Now, I’m on to my third Sony camera, all the gear that goes with them, dozens of master classes, and as many one-on-one photography workshops, tutorials, and tours as I can sign up for. Photography has become my passion! My website shares some of my images and it is wonderful to be able to now offer prints, canvases, and other photo goods locally through Beachcombers Bluff.
When I'm not taking photos, I run an education consultancy business Ann Milne Education, write books, and help out with the IT/website side of our Airbnb, RUA@Bluff
